  •  The camerawork is very good: steady, well-shot and almost always crisply in focus. This is so important for professional-level work.
  • Audio works appropriately for the type of video and you've covered the different shot types and camera movements comprehensively

EBI:
  • Revise tracking shots: by definition a tracking shot can't be going down stairs! That would be handheld.
  • I don't like the transitions. You generally won't see that type of transition in professional work so something to consider in terms of editing in future.

Learner response: think about what you learned making the video and also watching others. What will you do differently when you start the coursework later in the year? What tips or tricks have you learned from others that you can use next time? Are there any specific aspects of camerawork that you need to revise or practice?

I have learn't how to operate the camera and ensure its focus before taking a video/shot as it is viewed to be more professional and effective. Additionally while using the editing software i learn't how to apply transitions, mute videos, export them and use the software more efficiently so the editing is more precise. Furthermore, i learn't how to film various camera movements, shots and angles and viewed the effect they created. When i start the coursework later in the year i will ensure that the camera is in focus and take more than 1 or 2 shots to make sure i receive an accurate shot/video, moreover i will make sure i reach the deadline. By watching other videos i have learn't that you can engage with the demographic more and make your video more appealing by including a narrative with a order of shots that occur within it. Particular aspects i need to work in within camerawork is learning the difference between camera angles, movements and shots and decreasing the amount of transitions i apply in a video.

Film Poster Analysis: 1) What do you think the film is about and what might the story-line be? 2) What genre do you think the film belongs to? 3) Who do you think is the target audience? I think the story line is about villains taking over the world and heroes fighting to save it. I think this film genre would be a Sci-fi due to the fact that the poster has a space shuttle which makes it seem more fictional. Furthermore the light is unrealistic and makes the movie seem more like a fantasy. I think the target audience for this movie would be teenagers.        I think this  movie is about teenagers portraying characters that have appeared in several scary movies and turning it into more of a comedy, which i noticed from the review which stated "absolutely hilarious". I think the genre of this film would be a comedy in general but to be more specific a parody. The target audience for this movie would be teenagers and adults.     I think

Sound Analysis: 1) Choose a 60 second piece of music - ideally from YouTube and not something that is likely to be blocked on copyright grounds. 2) Using editing software (Windows Moviemaker is fine but Adobe Premiere is available on Media PCs) produce a  one-minute montage of images and video.  Half the images need to be  parallel  to the music and half need to be  contrapuntal . Think carefully about how you can best select images and video to have a significant impact on the audience. 3) Upload the finished video to YouTube and embed it in your own blog with a brief description of what you've created.  Note:  due to videos being blocked on copyright grounds, please also save the exported video file (e.g. MP4) into your student folder on the M: Media Shared drive. In this video i conveyed the difference between parallel ad contrapuntal sound by applying a happy themed soundtrack throughout the video. I then added happy and positive pictures and video
